Car Inspections Increased At LIA

Random vehicle inspections began Thursday at the Lubbock International Airport. As part of the increased terror alert, two guards will be stationed along Airport Drive to inspect vehicles approaching the airport.

Airport Director Mark Earle says the inspections are intended to be fast, and non-invasive. He also says the checks will continue as long as the terror alert is at the orange level.
