Democratic candidate throws hat into the ring for District 19 Congressional seat

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A Democratic candidate has thrown his hat into the ring for the District 19 House of Representatives seat.

"I feel compelled to run for office not because I wanna rub shoulders with movers and shakers, or have some personal self interest or company I want to promote. It's because I believe I have an obligation to my sons, Davis, Gene and Keller, and to their generation," says candidate Andy Wilson.

Andy Wilson announced his candidacy as Democrat Monday at the Mahon Library. Forty-six-year-old Wilson is a graduate of Texas Tech, and is a resident of Ransom Canyon.
