Lubbock man in custody; wanted in connection with Midland shooting

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Lubbock Police have arrested a Lubbock man wanted in connection with an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon case in Midland.

37-year-old Baldo Gonzalez was arrested Monday in Lubbock by SWAT on a traffic stop. Gonzalez was wanted in connection with a shooting on October 20th in Midland.

Gonzalez is currently being held in the Lubbock County Jail for some unrelated charges out of Lubbock as well as the aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge from Midland. His bond has been set at $250,000.

Gonzalez will not be taken to Midland until Lubbock authorities complete their proceedings on the charges in Lubbock.
