LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A new study finds treating sleep apnea can improve your golf score! Golfers with obstructive sleep apnea, who were treated with nasal positive airway pressure, or NPAP, for their disorder, lowered their golf handicap by as much as three strokes!
Researchers say the improved sleep quality helps golfers think more clearly and make good decisions, resulting in a better performance. Studies have shown fewer than half the people diagnosed with sleep apnea actually use those breathing machines at night. Researchers are hoping this study will motivate more people, especially golfers, to seek treatment.
