Man indicted on State School death turned himself in

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The search for a suspect in connection with the death of a Lubbock State School resident is over.

38-year-old Doneill Smith turned himself in to the Lubbock County Sheriff's Office on Thursday morning.

He was indicted for manslaughter last week and is accused of recklessly causing the death of a patient in June.

According to reports, Smith restrained Michael Nicholson by sitting on him.
