Lubbock woman stabbed in home burglary


LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The police are searching for a suspect in a home burglary after he stabbed a woman and ran from the scene.

Police reports indicate that just before midnight on Wednesday, in the 2500 block of 2nd Street, a male suspect broke into the victim's residence through her son's window while the victim was asleep.

The suspect then walked into the victim's bedroom, pulled the covers off of her, grabbed her by the legs and tried to pull her off of the bed. The victim began to fight back by kicking the suspect as he stabbed her in the lower abdomen. The victim was transported to Covenant Medical Center.

The suspect is described as 5'11" tall, about 200 pounds, and last seen wearing a black hooded sweat shirt, and black pants. If you have any information you are asked to please call Crime Line at (806) 741-1000.
