LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - We told you last week that the Kellogg company was scolded for claiming its Cocoa Krispies cereal could help support your child's immunity. Now, Kellogg says it is removing that large banner with the claim on its cereal boxes.
The company says it reformulated its Rice Krispies cereals to include more vitamin A,B,C and E, but says now it is making the change given the public attention to Swine-Flu. The Food and Drug Administration says be weary of other such claims on products because the government just monitors the claims. Manufacturers are responsible for their accuracy and truth.
