LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Now that the H1N1 vaccine is arriving at local private physician offices, the Texas Department of Health is about to release a list of the providers to make it easier for people to make plans to get the vaccine. We learned that Thursday from a reliable source, but until the full list becomes available we can tell you about one office in Lubbock that is opening its doors to walk-ins Friday morning.
The Family Health Associates in the Medical Office Plaza next door to UMC provided H1N1 vaccines Thursday, even staying until 7:30 p.m. to accommodate the demand. They will provide both the H1N1 shot and nasal spray vaccines to walk-ins again Friday, but only from 8 a.m. until noon. The H1N1 vaccine is free, but they ask that you bring your insurance card so they can keep a record of the vaccines given.
