LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – Playing several sports may lower a child's risk for injury! The study from Loyola University looked at more than 500 junior athletes and they found the players who specialized in the same sport year round were more likely to drop out because of injuries, rather than the kids who were better-rounded and played several sports. Researchers say parents should know that a variety of sports while kids are still growing may lower their risk of injury.
