A piece of debris found near Littlefield is in the hands of NASA. A farmer found the piece near his home in Lamb County last week. Today his wife described what it looked like
"The more we look at it and seen all the colors in that looked like it had burned and piece of styrofoam that didn't' melt. We had suspicions about it then that it might have been part of the shuttle." said Jean Patterson, the wife of the Littlefield farmer who found debris.
Also, NASA is asking other Texas farmers to be on the lookout for shuttle debris. They say farmers don't have to stop work in their fields, but they are being asked to be cautious of possible debris.
