By James Clark | email

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Less than two weeks after the November 3rd bond election, the 34th Street project goes up for bid.  Voters approved nearly $21 million for one part of 34th street improvements.

The city is now accepting bids on the engineering portion from Indiana to Avenue Q.  Those bids are due in 24 days.

The long-term goal is to improve 34th street from Slide Road to Interstate 27.  The city has already set the tone for 34th Street revitalization with the intersection at 34th & University.
