Texas Tech Is Raising Tuition

Texas Tech's Board of Regents made a decision that many students are questioning. The board went ahead with a plan to raise tuition by 21%. Tech says 19% of the increase will help pay for the millions of dollars the university lost because of state budget cuts. That works out to about $800 more a student.

The additional two percent will pay for a Citibus program that would give students a citywide bus pass.
