LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - If you drive on Indiana Avenue south of 103rd street, you know it's a busy and narrow stretch of roadway.
The city is doing something about it. The city is hiring a contractor to widen Indiana to a 7-lane thoroughfare between 103rd Street and F.M. 1585. The most recent estimate on cost is $14 million.
Construction is likely to start after the first of the year and not wrap up until sometime in 2011.
