Lubbock's share of Prop 12, three road projects

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Lubbock will get $12.5 million of the state's $2 billion Proposition 12 fund.  Texas voters approved Prop 12 in November of 2007.  It allows TxDot to issue debt which is to be repaid from the state's general fund. The TxDOT Commission gave final approval to these projects and others statewide last week. Lubbock gets three of them:

  •      Rebuilding Highway Idalou Road between Avenue A and East Broadway
  •      Rebuilding Idalou Road from East Broadway to just outside the East Loop
  •      Rebuilding a 650 feet stretch of Parkway Drive just west of Idalou Road
