Area schools announce early dismissal for Thanksgiving holiday

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Area schools have announced early dismissals to kick off the Thanksgiving break.

With the early dismissal, please remember to slow down in neighborhoods.

  • LISD will dismiss at regular time on Tuesday and classes will resume on Monday.
  • Cooper ISD will dismiss at Noon on Tuesday and no lunch will be served. Classes will resume on Monday.
  • Frenship ISD will dismiss at 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday and classes will resume on Monday.

Also, City of Lubbock offices will be closed Thursday and Friday and there will be no trash pickup on those days, and there will be limited trash pickup on Saturday.
