LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Happier customers and more local jobs - that's the plan at Lubbock Power & Light.
LP&L is creating four new jobs to enhance its customer call center. The new jobs are behind the scenes in what's called a back office operation. To put it in simpler terms, LP&L customer service will look and feel a lot like what you'd find in a big corporation.
Public records also indicate LP&L might hire a consultant specifically on the issue of customer satisfaction in its call center. In addition to that, if LP&L's merger with Xcel is complete, the local utility plans to add as many as 10 more jobs next year.
