LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech head baseball coach Dan Spencer announced the signing of 10 student-athletes earlier today that will comprise the 2010-11 class. The class includes six pitchers, two infielders, one outfielder and one catcher.
"We felt like last year's recruiting class was very solid but we really feel like we got a good group of high school arms and a mixture of junior college talent," said Texas Tech head coach Dan Spencer. "As far as position players are concerned this was the first year where we have been able to target certain areas and we did that by getting a couple of infielders and a young outfielder and catcher. Our main goal has been to establish continuity and I think this class will go a long way in that direction. I am very excited to get them on campus and have them wearing Red & Black."
These 10 student-athletes will enroll in the fall of 2010 and be eligible for competition in the spring of 2011.
