LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A man recently from Lubbock and linked to a murder for hire plot in Wisconsin, is headed back up North to face charges. NewsChannel 11 shot exclusive video Tuesday morning in the Lubbock County Jail. Darren Wold, 41, was in handcuffs as authorities led him to a car and drove him to the airport.
Police in Wisconsin say he was on the losing end of a custody dispute, when he arranged to have the mother of his child killed. Wold is charged with "party to homicide."
Kimberly Smith, 39, was found bound and stabbed in her Wisconsin home last month. Two other men are in custody in California, in connection with this case.
