LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Black Friday is the biggest shopping day of the year which means parking lots are full and busy.

The newly formed Texas Department of Motor Vehicles says every 2 and-a-half minutes in Texas, a vehicle is broken into and something is stolen.

Here are a few quick reminders from Texas-DMV. Park in well lit areas, hide your gifts and lock your car.
