LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - "We were here at 3:00 p.m. yesterday," said one holiday shopper.
"We had to get up on Thanksgiving drive all the way out here 150 miles and I stood in line for 7 hours," said another.
Some very dedicated shoppers camped out at Best Buy all night, but thought of some creative ways to pass the time. "We were singing songs and playing Rocky," said one Black Friday camper.
"We played cards, we were talking, hanging out, we had fun," said another camper.
But by the time 5:00 a.m. rolled around, more than 400 people were already in line. "We're going to start the doors opening and we'll start opening the doors and we'll let you in waves," said a Best Buy employee.
Many knew exactly what they were looking for. TVs, video games, computers and surround sound systems were very popular.
Probably the most popular item black Friday shoppers are out looking for at Best Buy are the HD TVs, some of which you can save $1200.
And the savings are the best way to kick off this holiday season. "We got a lot of Christmas shopping done, because there are a lot of good sales," said one shopper.
"Definitely ready for the holiday season, getting some good sales and starting to get some of those gifts out of the way," said another.
