Candidate Drops Out of Congressional Race - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

Former Midland Mayor Carroll Thomas has dropped out of the 19th Congressional District race. On Saturday, Thomas announced he could not raise enough money to run a successful campaign.

Thomas says that he will return contributions made to his campaign. The special election to fill Congressman Larry Combest's seat will be May 3rd. Early voting begins on April 16th.
