Local school districts have plan for winter weather

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - NewsChannel 11 is in contact with the local school districts about possible weather delays or cancellations, and they tell us they are keeping a close eye on the forecast.

LISD says that if there is going to be any chance in Tuesday's school schedule, they will be notifying parents with the parent notification system, and they will also be notifying the local television and radio stations. The call will go out by 6:00 a.m.

Cooper and Frenship school districts have staff that will get out in the morning and drive the streets to see if they are safe and then will contact the superintendent who will make the decision to delay or cancel school. They will notify parents on TV, radio and use their parent notification system no later than 6:00 a.m.

Stay with NewsChannel 11 and kcbd.com for the latest on your delays and closings.
