Robbery suspect still on the run

Lubbock, TX (KCBD) – Surveillance photographs released Tuesday show the man police say stole thousands of dollars worth of jewelry from the Cash America pawn shop over the weekend.

They say he is armed and on the loose. Detectives have recovered the stolen green Jeep Cherokee that witnesses say the suspect drove away from the pawn shop.

At 9:30 on Saturday morning, police say the suspect walked into the Cash America shop on North University with a revolver and a trash bag. He went to the showcase and took thousands of dollars worth of retail jewelry but he did not take any customer pawns. He wore a baggy sweatshirt with a hood and sunglasses to hide most of his face. Detectives traced the tag on the sunglasses and say they came from Wal-mart. The suspect is described as a black male with a thin mustache six feet tall and weighs around 200 pounds.

Cash America is offering a $10,000 reward for anyone with information that leads to an arrest in this case. You can call Crime Line at 741-1000 with information. Crime Line is also offering a $1,000 reward.
