LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Lubbock police and sheriffs deputies are searching a south Lubbock neighborhood following reports of a home invasion.
Authorities responded to the shooting in the 900 block of 83rd Street at 1:17 p.m. According to the 911 caller, the victim suffered a gunshot wound to the leg. EMS activated their lights and siren as he was taken to the hospital. His name and condition are unknown at this time.
Officers have set up a perimeter while searching the area. The suspect was reportedly wearing shirt, jeans, hat, and possibly work boots. He may be an Hispanic or white male, wearing a blue/green jacket, and carrying a .22 handgun.
Right now, authorities are looking for a silver two door vehicle, possibly a 90's model Honda, in bad condition.
