Two years ago Texas was 28,000 nurses short, and since then the numbers have increased. That's why American State Bank is leading a public campaign going straight to the heart of the problem. It wants to help increase the financial support of nursing education. American State Bank held a news conference raising awareness about the shortage and announcing its plans to help increase the number of nurses in Texas.
This Friday a celebrity nurse from the hit series M*A*S*H will visit the Avenue Q location. Loretta Swit will be there to talk to the public about the problem.
