17,000 troops received orders at Fort Hood to deploy to Southwest Asia for the international fight against terrorism. There is no word yet on exactly when they will leave.

Meanwhile, 12,000 other soldiers are still waiting to be deployed to Turkey. They will be stationed in Iraq's Northern border once they get approval from the Turkish Parliament.
