Catching Up With Johnny Landrum at 66th and University

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The weather has turned cold, but that didn't deter Johnny Landrum from standing out on the corner at 66th and University in the snow.

Just as he's done twelve hours a day, six days a week for nearly a year and a half.

We first introduced you to Landrum and his "Jesus Saves Souls" sign he holds up last December.

On Thursday, we met some of the people who say his presence on that street corner has touched them.

"He reminds me that there is somebody that cares and will go out of their way. It just makes me feel good to see him out there," says Rick Edwards.

Coming up tonight on NewsChannel 11 at 6, we'll hear what Landrum says he's learned standing on the corner over the past year.
