Cold weekend expected on the South Plains

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - This morning a few flurries near the New Mexico state line and the northern Permian Basin ending, but watch for areas of snow/ice, especially western areas. Morning temperatures in the 20s.

This afternoon mostly sunny, breezy, but still cold. Highs from about 30° in the northwest to the mid 30s southeast. Lubbock about 34°.

Tonight clear and cold. Evening temperatures in the 20s.

Saturday mostly sunny, breezy, a warmer afternoon. Sunday partly cloudy. Highs near 50 degrees.
