LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Good news Friday evening, that for the fifth week in a row, cases of H1N1 have dropped significantly. The number of states reporting widespread activity has now dropped from 32 to 25. The concern is the virus continues to impact mostly young children. Even this week, there were still 17 pediatric deaths.
Meanwhile, the CDC says we have double the supply of swine flu vaccines available now compared to last month. Again, officials are encouraging high risk groups like children, teens and pregnant women to get vaccinated before the next wave of the virus sweeps through the nation.
