LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A lot of women have a love-hate relationship with high heels. No matter how much they hurt, women wear them. Now some doctors are suggesting the use of foot pillows to ease the pain, not the kind you buy at a drug store to add some cushion inside your shoe, instead, cushions that are built into their feet.
Allison Cohen, a foot patient says, "It doesn't hurt, it was pretty easy." Dr. Susan Levine, a foot surgeon explains, "I inject a filling agent, the same filler that your use in your face, and cushion the ball of your foot."
Allison's foot ultrasound has shown there's much more padding in their now, but Dr. Levine says even if you don't want injections, if you feel pain in your feet, you should see a doctor. There are many reasons for foot pain and if the pain is not alleviated, it could spread to bigger problems in the ankle, knee, back or hip.
