LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Pistachios are often a holiday treat, now there's reason to put them on your grocery list all year round. Turns out they are a good source of a form of vitamin E called Gamma-Tocopherol, something doctors say might help reduce the risk for lung and other cancers.
This comes from M. D. Anderson, where researchers say just two ounces of pistachios every day significantly boosted levels of Gamma-Tocopherol within just a few weeks of study. If pistachios aren't your thing, you can also get some of that type of vitamin E in pecans and walnuts.
