LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The South Plains Food Bank says they're having a tough time with donations compared to last year.
They say it's because there are more people that need help.
The Food Bank says they now distribute 25 percent more food than in the past, but they're still helping about 18,000 individuals a week.
"The more you give the better because we're not the only family that needs the help, and there's lots of people out there that go hungry," says Stephanie Seymour. Seymour and her family have received help from the South Plains Food Bank.
You can help the food bank by making a donation to the U Can Share Food Drive, located at the United Supermarket at 82nd and Frankford.
