South Plains sees a reduction in H1N1 related cases


LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – There is some good news on the Health-front for the South Plains.  Lubbock had no deadly or life-threatening cases of H1N1 or "Swine Flu" from November 28th through December 5th. 

In the state of Texas, only 10 deaths were attributed to H1N1 or "Swine-Flu", during the time in question.  The 41 counties surrounding the Lubbock area had no new severe cases of H1N1, with only 20 intensive care unit admissions, and 40 hospitalizations attributed to Swine Flu. There were no fatal cases reported during this same time period.
