One man remains in critical condition after an early morning fire Thursday in North Lubbock.
EMS treated 59-year-old David Kelly for smoke inhalation on the front lawn of his apartment complex at 2nd St. and Vernon before rushing him to Covenant Medical Center. Fire investigators say it started around 4:30 and believe Kelly's kitchen stove was the source.
Three other people were forced out of their apartments because of the fire. But investigators say the biggest damage was limited to the apartment attic. Again, Kelly is in critical condition at Covenant.
