The Hearts and Hands Program is a business that was created by individuals and staff at the Lubbock State Supported Living Center (formerly the Lubbock State School).
The purpose of this business venture is to provide a vocational opportunity for the persons we serve. This business also provides numerous opportunities for the individuals to gain additional life skills, socialization, creativity, employment, and most of all the feeling of ownership in a business of their own.
Through Hearts and Hands, the workers create hand crafted greeting cards, gift bags, and potpourri to sell through various outlets. Each person who makes the hand crafted items have a various range of ability levels. However, regardless of their level, they take the time and put a very special touch of love in each item created.
Hearts and Hands is now taking custom orders! Visit the Hearts and Hands store inside the chapel at the Lubbock State Supported Living Center, at 3401 N. University. Or visit their booth at KK's Craft Mall at 66th and Indiana.
