Investigation into Lubbock homicide continues

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The death of a man that was found dead in his pickup truck in November has been ruled a homicide.

Paul Brown, 48, was found dead in his truck at the Boulders at LakeRidge Apartments, where he lived. The Lubbock County Medical Examiner says Brown died of blunt force trauma to the head, but there is still many unanswered questions surrounding the homicide investigation.

Lubbock Police told NewsChannel 11 that they continue to test evidence to try to figure out what kind of object was used. They say they are talking to numerous people about this homicide, but at this time, they do not have a suspect.

However, they have told us that this is not a wide open case. "It doesn't appear to be a robbery or anything like that," says Sgt. Jimmy Pachall of the Lubbock Police Department. "We haven't found any of his property missing at this point."

Police are calling this homicide very complicated. If you have any information about this crime, please call Crime Line at (806) 741-1000.

This is now Lubbock's 13th homicide of the year, but only one of two that are unsolved.
