Morales Surrenders to Police; Faces 12 Count Indictment

Former Texas Attorney General Dan Morales turned himself into Austin Police Friday. As NewsChannel 11 was the first to tell you Thursday night, Morales faces several mail fraud and conspiracy charges. Morales is accused of trying to steer hundreds of millions of dollars from a Texas tobacco settlement to a friend. Morales and his friend, Marc Murr, both maintain they did nothing wrong.

"Every single allegation of wrong doing included in this indictment is false. Every single allegation of wrong doing in this indictment is untrue," said Morales.

An arraignment for both Morales and Murr has been set for March 18th.
