LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – A new study from the University of Warwick in England looked at the quality of life in each of the state in the U.S. to determine if personal happiness might be dictated by where Americans live.
Results of the happiness survey are published in the current issue of science. The top five "Happy" states are Louisiana, Hawaii, Florida, Tennessee and Arizona. The study randomly surveyed over a million Americans to determine the happy location list, finding the unhappiest states were New Jersey, Connecticut and New York. So where did Texas fall in the happy state survey? Texas ranks at number 15.
The state-by-state list, from happiest to least cheery:
