Tuesday is another session of Community Medical School, when the public is invited to take classes at the Texas Tech Health Science Center. The lesson this week is 'before you travel," taught by Ron Warner, Ph.D., an infectious disease specialist at TTUHSC says there's much more to do than just pack for that special trip outside the United States.

The South Plains Mall looks different this week because the castle gone. That castle was the headquarters for the KLLL radiothon, which raised more than $225,000 last week for the Children's Miracle Network.

Your doctor may be getting a pay cut. Starting Tuesday, the government's paying Medicare providers 21% less. March 1, 2010 was the deadline for congress to do something to prevent those cuts, but lawmakers couldn't do it and went home. However, the doctors are not the only ones who are going to feel the pinch.
