Citibus stopped suddenly by snow & cold

By James Clark | email

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Snow and dangerous travel conditions paralyzed Lubbock's Citibus Thursday morning.

Initially, Citibus attempted to run its routes but Director John Wilson says, "We had four buses get stuck and a couple of accidents."

Wilson says cars ran into buses because of slick conditions and he says no bus passengers were injured.  Wilson also says persons who might have been stranded in the downtown bus transfer station were given rides home or to their destination by Citibus supervisors.

Wilson also said Thursday morning, "We probably won't resume today."  Citibus was already scheduled to not run on Friday, Christmas day.
