LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -The next big holiday to look forward to is just right around the corner, and conditions look good for popping fireworks this New Year.
On December 14th the Lubbock County Commissioners ruled there would be no ban. "The number is not critical enough now to implement a ban on certain aerial fireworks, so we just ask that everyone be safe and have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year," said Commissioner Mark Heinrich.
Most firework stands will stay open through New Year's Day.
