New Trash Dump, Closer for Lubbock Residents

A new trash dump opened on north Avenue P on Tuesday. It was built specifically for Lubbock residents to have a place to dump large items like couches. Until now large items had to be taken to the landfill near Abernathy.

If you are a Lubbock Power and Light customer, using the new dump is free. All you need to do is bring your bill with you to show that the city picks up your trash.

It is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday.
