Friends and family held a memorial Tuesday for a Texas Tech student who died in a car crash last week. Julia Kyle was remembered by several professors, family and friends Tuesday afternoon.
Julia Kyle was a Graduate Assistant in Tech's Department of Psychology and planned on getting her PhD. She died Friday when police say she fell asleep at the wheel of her truck. She veered off the South Loop at MLK Boulevard and flipped several times into a field.
Kyle was wearing her seatbelt but was crushed when the cab of her truck collapsed. She was 25-years-old.
