Craig James speaks on Sportscenter Wednesday night

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - ESPN sports commentator Craig James, the father of the player in question, wide receiver Adam James, has also spoken out.

Here is some of what he said on Wednesday night on Sportscenter, after the Holiday Bowl game.

Craig James, ESPN Commentator, Adam James' dad:

"...but I know as a mom and as a dad, anybody in the country knowing what we know about our son, you would have taken the same steps we did. Q: There is plenty of negative reaction toward the firing of Coach Leach. Have you felt any of that first hand and how will you deal with that? A: Absolutely. Again, Steve, this isn't something that we asked for. We continue to be a victim of something. And our family is going through a lot right now, far more than anything we wanted. We didn't want any of this. But we had to do it. We had to take these actions and ask the University for help, for safety for Adam, with a concussion who was being treated with actions that are senseless. They are not good. When a person has a concussion, you have to take care of them. So, this is not something I would wish on anybody."
