Man pleads guilty after helping DEA catch marijuana buyer

By James Clark | email

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – A man pleads guilty to brining more than 90 pounds of marijuana from Mexico to Lubbock.  Court records say Jorge Franco was stopped by the Border Patrol in Marfa.  He agreed to cooperate with federal agents and finish bringing the marijuana to Lubbock.

Franco then called the man who, according to court records, was scheduled to receive the marijuana.  Two men showed up who were then arrested.

Franco pleaded guilty to drug charges and will be sentenced at later date to no more than 5 years in prison.
