Chopper/Plane Passes First Flight with Flying Colors

It's a helicopter and it's a plane, either way it was a success for Bell-Helicopter. The company tested its Tilt-Rotor Plane in Arlington Wednesday afternoon. It marks the first flight of an aircraft that will be available to the public that can not only fly like a plane, but can take-off, hover and land like a helicopter.

Manufacturers are hoping the tilt-rotor will be certified by the FAA in 2007. Seventy customers have already lined up to buy the civilian air crafts, which cost about $10-million each.
