LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Authorities have issued an arrest warrant for a former Lubbock Basketball coach.

Richard Romero is charged with felony counts of possession of child pornography and indecency with a child.

Court documents indicate the alleged incident took place with a player while the team was at a tournament in 2008.

Romero founded the Lubbock Lady Hawks in 1994 and the current coach of the team says Romero had nothing to do with the program since his initial arrest back in the summer of 2008.

The Texas Rangers assisted in the investigation. Romero has not yet been booked into the Lubbock County Jail.
