After nearly 40 years, owners of a Lubbock movie theater prepare for their final showing. Showplace 6 was the first multi-screen theater in Lubbock, opening in the 1970's, but their lease has come up and it will not be renewed. KCBD NewsChannel 11's Katie Bauer has more.

An oil field explosion about 20 miles south of Lamesa critically injures two workers. The blast happened near Ackerly, which is about 83 miles south of Lubbock.
