The mobile DRC will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 21 and is located in the Slaton ISD Board Room. That's located at 140 E. Panhandle in Slaton.

Crosby County has their first confirmed west nile death. Larry Yowell, 71, passed away on September 9th. It took the State Department of Health Services some time to confirm the death as a result of west nile.

Concerned viewers contacted KCBD NewsChannel 11 about a dangerous problem outside area high schools during their lunch hour. We found Monterey High Schoolers dodging traffic on 50th Street on their way to eat. These students have open campus lunch periods and are able to leave the school grounds.
The Elmwood Recycling Center near Lubbock Christian University will close on Friday. The city says the location is privately owned, and they're not renewing a contract with the owner.
