Hale County grassfire now under control

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Gusty winds and dry conditions are creating another problem on the South Plains.

A grassfire in southeast Hale County is now under control. The fire began on Wednesday as a controlled burn, but quickly spread after the cold front arrived.

Firefighters fought the blaze for hours and no buildings were threatened.
